Socks
Here are a couple of pairs of socks, one I made this spring for someone with huge feet (man size 14) and the other pair, made last spring, for little moi (size 7!).
The Big Blue Pair (too big to be photographed in our tiny apartment) were made with two strands of a beautiful Swiss yarn:
Land Yarns, Jawoll color (mostly wool, 75%). I reinforced them at the heels and toes. And, O Joy, I used size 5 needles (and no, it's not cheating)
The Spring pair is one of those self-patterning cotton ones....I lost the label....but I broke two size 1 needles when knitting them and the Brittany needles people were very nice and mailed me another set for free.
Voila! This was my little update on socks. Off to assemble the knitted doggy...
